Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Companies can get an extra three months to submit accounts to Companies House

Companies House has announced that from 25 March 2020, companies can apply for a three-month extension for filing their accounts. Those citing issues around the coronavirus as the reason they are unable to file on time will be automatically and immediately granted an extension. Applications can be made through an online portal at https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/extensions

As part of the agreed measures, while companies will still have to apply for the 3-month extension to be granted, those citing issues around COVID-19 will be automatically and immediately granted an extension. Applications can be made through a fast-tracked online system which will take just 15 minutes to complete.
