Coronavirus - Companies House guidance

Companies House has issued guidance to customers on the steps it is taking to maintain services and protect employees. 

The London office is closed to the public and there is no letterbox there so all mail must be sent to the Cardiff office.  The Edinburgh and Belfast offices are also closed to the public.

All same day services have been suspended until further notice.

If they have not done so already, companies should register for online filing, and should sign up for email reminders. This is vital, as registered office buildings may soon be completely shut, or at least not staffed, so notices sent by post may not reach the companies whose registered offices are at those buildings.  Guidance on how to do so can be read here. 

Companies House has already said that if, immediately before the accounts filing deadline, it becomes apparent that your company will not be able to file its accounts on time owing to the effects of Covid-19, the company should immediately contact Companies House to apply for more time for filing.
